Front Transmission Intermediate Mount, Bolt In (NO WELDING!), 1961 and Later Type 1
|
|
Front Transmission Intermediate Mount, Bolt In (NO WELDING!), 1961 and Later Type 1 prevents expensive and annoying nose cone and transmission mount breakage. This bolts to the front of the transmission, and prevents the front of the transmission from lifting under acceleration. This product is a MUST HAVE if you drive the car hard in any way, in conjunction with either a Traction Bar or a Torque Bar (Kafer Cup Brace). When you accelerate, the front of the transmission is pushed upward, and the only thing holding it down is the front transmission mount. That's what causes them to break! By bolting this on, as the transmission nose lifts, the snubbers contact the lower part of the frame horns, and it can't go any further! No rattlebox like you'd get if you had solid mounts, it will remain quiet and drive like stock. We have this on our own personal cars, we cannot praise this product enough! This product is one of the least known in the VW Industry, and it's a MUST for anyone that has a car with greater than stock power!
