A decent guideline is to run 1 3/8" for up to 90hp, 1 1/2" from 90-140hp, 1 5/8" from 140-175hp, and 1 3/4" from 175-220hp. Above this you need an even larger exhaust tubing, which we do offer but they cost more! The Cylinder 1 and 3 J-pipes are INCLUDED with this header. These headers feature a properly sized collector for the primary tubing you have selected. These DO fit under the rear apron too! Each one is hand made by a master exhaust system craftsman for YOUR car! Remember that Exhaust Tubing is measured on the OUTSIDE (Not Inside), stock is 1 1/4". We recommend 1 5/8" for applications up to 190hp, 1 3/4" size is needed for 190hp or greater, and get 1 7/8" for 230HP and above! With this system Cylinder 1 and 3 J-pipes are INCLUDED. Note that this header is only available in the "Narrow" 1 and 3 primary locations, otherwise the primaries wind up being too long and power suffers. , Because the 1 and 3 j pipes on a lowdown header are very narrow and close to the engine to keep the pipe length as short as possible, they will NOT clear the thermostat. Thermostat clearance is NOT an option.

These headers now ONLY come with the V-band clamp on the collector-to-muffler joint, so make sure you also purchase the upgrade on your muffler to match V-band style connectors.
