Caster Fix Sway Bar Bushing Kit, Stock Diameter Sway Bar, 1971-79 Superbeetle, Pair correct insufficient caster settings on Super Beetles. These bushings move the swaybar and the bottom of the strut FORWARD, for a more stable caster alignment. You can also cut and slot the top of the strut mount on the Super Beetle body to tip the strut top back, doing the same thing, but the installation of these bushings is a LOT easier than all that work!
Lowered cars have less caster, which is great for parking lot driving, but horrible for 50+ mph!
Furthermore, if you lower the front end of your car, Caster is decreased further! Less Caster makes the steering easy in slow speed conditions (great for parking lot Sharking with Granny!), but the steering gets really "Twitchy" at speed. Since Caster is not really adjustable on Super Beetles, using these bushings is the the only solution.
Lastly, if you look at your bushings, they are probably the stock ones, and 40 years old! They are shot, and in need of replacement anyways, so you may as well upgrade to these to address the insufficient Caster ANYWAYS.

This is for the header AND the muffler! This system is made with 1-1/2" 16 gauge mild steel, mig welded and test fit to ensure optimum quality and performance.
This system does come with exhaust gaskets, but they are really poor quality! We strongly suggest getting some gaskets in addition to this system, so you will be installing it with some quality gaskets and only have to do the job once!

These reinforce the body when the roof is "gone", to prevent chassis sag. The rails prevent the body from buckling when there is no roof to take the stress.Welding is REQUIRED to install these. This part requires body jigging (to prevent flexing and warping) and welding to install. You have to hold the body in place when you cut the old one out, so you don't weld the new one into a warped body that won't bolt up to your chassis! When these are "non-functioning" you will know by doors that do not hang or close properly, the jamb gets tight at the top as the chassis droops.
