Rear Apron, 1949-66 Beetle, 111-813-301F
|
|
Rear Apron, 1949-66 Beetle, 111-813-301F is "CORRECT" for 1965-66 VW Beetles, but will also fit earlier years. Besides appearances, the rear apron is critically important for cooling by sealing the lower HOT" air from re-entering the engine compartment! So, if your Pre 1967 Beetle has been hit in the rear end, using this part (which must be welded in) may be your best bet. Furthermore, if the rear apron's inner structure (which is a 2 layer piece) has been damaged, there is no easy way of keeping the exhaust heat from baking the paint off the outside of your apron!
