Sliding Door Handle Bushing, Delrin, 1985-92 VW Vanagon (NOT Round Handle) supports your outside door handle from severe torque which can break the expensive sliding door handle. These are NLA from VW, but these are now reproduced in Delrin, lasts a lifetime! Delrin is a plastic bearing material stronger than nylon, ABS, or PVC, and it will outlive any human alive today, it's that strong and durable! These bushings are custom made with a tighter than stock fit to work better than the original one did! Most Vanagons driving around are missing the stock version of this bushing, and the handle is being abused as a result! The picture up there shows what happens if someone twists the handle the wrong way or too hard, without this bushing in place in the door!

When you purchase this item, you will just receive the black bushing, you will NOT receive a handle also. It's very important that you order the proper bushing, there are 2 different ones used. The vans are the same for 1980-92, but the bushing needed depends on the HANDLE you have on your Vanagon. The handles are interchangeable, identification is easy. The early handle (1980-84) is "Round" at the base where it sits on the door, the late handle (1985-92) is squared off (NOT ROUND) at the base.

These are very easy to install, if you can change a door handle you can install this part and prevent an expensive and annoying breakage of your Vanagon.
