CB Performance Dual IDF Weber Carburetor Kits, Type 1, Type 3, and Type 4 are GENUINE Weber carburetors that are made in Spain, not Chinese copies! Our Dual IDF Weber Carb Kits come COMPLETE with everything you need to install them! While most VW Parts stores sell one line of carb kits, ACN sells a lot of them! The big advantage you have from buying from ACN is our decades of carb experience, which you get with the "Carb Setup Option" to minimize your setup time and maximize drive time instead of wrench time! Carb Sizing. Here are our Weber Size recommendations. If you have a bus or vanagon, get dual 40 IDFs, don't even consider 44s!

If you have a Type 1, dual 40 IDFs are fine for most applications under 6k RPM. You do not need to even THINK about going to 44mm IDFs until you are over 2000cc AND over 6k RPM, it's simply not necessary! Normally dual 44s are needed when you begin to go over ~130hp. That's a REAL 130hp, not bench-racing 130hp. If you have an Engle 110 cam, you don't need 44s either since the engine isn't going to rev!

Another example, if you have a 2275cc engine with big-valve heads and no portwork, 40s are all you need!

We have a LOT of experience setting up dual webers (25+ years!), so we offer and strongly recommend our Carb Setup Service to you when you buy your carburetors from Aircooled.Net! Frankly, if you try to bolt up your dual weber kit as supplied by Weber, you will have problems more often than not!

So choosing the Carb Setup Service is completely optional and up to you, but STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. It's actually a bit of a pain, and time consuming to do properly, which is why ACN is the only company that offers this service on Weber purchases! The Carb Setup Service includes fixing known and unknown problems and Weber assembly errors, clean, set floats, trim gaskets, etc. Then we reassemble with the correct jets and emulsion tubes for your engine and elevation! Finish it off with a final bench adjustment so that YOUR setup time and headaches are minimized! Carb Setup Service INCLUDES JET CHANGES (Free jets!), the expense of the proper jets can exceed what we charge for the setup, so it's a great deal for you!

It doesn't matter WHICH dual weber kit you buy from us, ICTs, IDF, IDAs, we will give them the same attention to your carbs as if they were ours about to go on our own engine! When you select this option, Jet changes are included, but venturi costs are additional FOR THE PARTS ONLY. With the cost of jets and especially emulsion tubes, that alone makes it worth it!

We have the carburetor expertise to select your emulsion tubes, idle jets, main jets, and air jets, regardless of the elevation you will be driving at, all you will have to do is assemble, adjust and GO! Obviously you must have your fuel pressure set to 3-3.5psi, but if the engine is in good mechanical shape your bench time will turn into driving time!

Knew better and still screwed up!	September 25, 2012

From someone who should have known better.

I purchased an NOS set of Italian Weber 40's on the Samba for the bargain price of $500.00. I am not familiar with these carbs, so I sent them off with the engine specifications so that they could have the proper venturi's and jets installed. I knew that the gaskets would no longer be useable, and there would be other problems. Turned out this set may be 40's, but the venturi outside diameter is like a 44, and you can't buy off the shelf venturi's small enough for the engine I am building. Net result on the "bargain" Webers is that I will be paying $300.00. or $400.00 more in the end than I could have purchasesd a nice set of Spanish Webers from ac.net, set up to run. Yikes!.

This is a warning to all those folks thinking about buying a used set of Webers. You won't save a thing!

Many thanks to John Connolly from Motor Works in DeKalb Illinois. John’s CB Performance Dual IDF Weber carb kit just finished turning our customer’s dune buggy into one “Screamin’ Machine”!

Our customer came to us after he installed an 1835 complete engine. The engine missed on cylinders 1 and 2 at idle from the first minute after installation.

Motor Works contacted John Connolly and asked his thoughts on the situation. The discussion centered on the engine’s EMPI carburetors. He suggested replacement with his Dual IDF Weber carb kit.

Installation was simple. The adjustments require a little care, but ask John and he will help you through the process.

The end result was more than we could have hoped for. A vehicle that would barley idle before now could “chirp” one foot wide tires under power.

We have a very happy customer and a very happy Motor Works. Thanks again John.
