Please note: Restrictions on or refusal to accept return of or provide warranty for electrical and fuel system products is not exclusive to our company, but is the case throughout the autoparts industry.RETURNS: This ELECTRICAL item is NON-RETURNABLE. It is standard policy throughout the auto industry (not just our company) for returns on fuel system or electrical products to NOT BE ALLOWED due to too much possibility for incorrect installation that damages the product in the course of installation, and the associated liability with being unable to re-sell previously returned fuel and electrical products. The reason for the restriction on return of ELECTRICAL components is that once an electrical item has been opened, and possibly hooked up or run, there is no way to guarantee for the next customer that the unit has not been internally compromised.
In RARE circumstances, an exemption
might be granted to be allowed to return an electrical product, but ONLY if the item is STILL NEW, is SEALED and IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING, and CAN BE VERIFIED that it has NOT been wired up to any power source or otherwise used, run, or modified.
In the case of a return exemption, the return of those items is subject to a 40% restock fee. Cost of return shipping is the customer's responsibility for any/all items that are being returned (for any reason other than a promptly reported fulfillment error on the part of Aircooled.Net).
WARRANTY: **The Manufacturer of this item offers a 1 year warranty against defect/failure of the alternator in this kit**Most manufacturers of electrical components do NOT provide any warranty whatsoever on fuel system or electrical products. There are a few exceptions (**notated above if applicable), but in cases where there is no manufacturer warranty, Aircooled.Net, DOES offer a short term 30 day warranty for immediate return to cover verifiable manufacturer defect for electrical products where
a) product cost is more than $100 and
b) products that are NOT explicitly advertised as "Econo" or "Economy"
To qualify for the 30 Day Retailer Warranty on eligible Electrical or Fuel System items, you must
a) report the defect within 30 days of date of shipment of that product
b) cooperate with and submit to any./all troubleshooting procedure requested or required by either Aircooled.Net or the Manufacturer PRIOR to going to the Warranty return/claim phase, and
c) Warranty coverage for your returned item is subject to verification of the defective status upon inspection of the return item. Please note that the limited warranty does NOT cover damage to a product that is assessed or otherwise deemed to have occurred during a failed installation attempt.
Cost of return shipping for items suspected of defect is the customer's responsibility. This is because the incidence of defects is an unavoidable fact of life in the autoparts world, and since we have no way to "pre-test" against defects without rendering the products as "used", the liability for defect incidence is shared between customer and retailer. The cost of return shipping is not reimbursable and must be pre-paid by the customer.
IF the return of a Fuel or Electrical item is allowed under warranty, the coverage remedy under the terms of the ACN 30 Day Retail Warranty is limited to REPAIR (first) and REPLACEMENT (second) at Aircooled.Net's discretion. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR WARRANTY RETURNS.
