The finest muffler available for your VW, it's made to fit YOUR CAR! (not one size fits none!). The variations in the different models are slight but they are what make this one fit perfect and not just "OK".

Please triple check what header you have, there are MANY different headers out there, they all vary slightly in their muffler flange orientation and location! These mufflers are designed to fit as high as possible for maximum ground clearance! These mufflers are NOT QUIET! If you want a "Quiet" muffler you need a "Turbo" muffler or Quiet Pack.

These A-1 Phat Boy mufflers are the ones you see in all the VW Magazines; the fast mega-horsepower California Street Sedans, and the Fastest Street VWs in the WORLD, it's like a quiet-pack on steroids! If you have a serious engine, you need to supply it with a MASSIVE amounts of exhaust flow! The Magnaflow Muffler outflows ALL the others, including "Turbo" (including Dynomaster), and "Buggy" mufflers. Non-straight thru design means you don't sound like a Motorcycle, Buggy, or Rice-Boy either!

This A-1 Performance muffler is the best balance of performance, looks, and ground clearance, of any VW Performance muffler available for your Merged Header. If you are looking at buying an A-1 product, it's obvious you value quality and want THE BEST!

A-1 Mufflers give top notch dyno-proven performance, and their maximum ground clearance is icing on the cake! These are not the Chinese made "One Size Fits None" mufflers made by the thousands in a Chinese Prison Camp that won't even bolt up to your header! If those DO bolt up, it usually sits Catty-Whompus or hits the ground! We've seen some "Horror Show" examples of this, and that's why when asked we recommend the A-1 Phat Boy!

A-1's headers are hand-built with Heavy Duty 16 gauge steel tubing, not that paper thin junk! Are you sick of flanges that are warped out of the box, or that bend during normal exhaust tightening? End THAT garbage once and for all with these Double Thick Tru Flat 3/8" collector flanges that are so straight you don't even need gaskets if you don't want to use them!

Ceramic Coating is a life EXTENDER, not a lifetime coating. In other words, you should expect the coating to make the pipes last longer than normal but don't expect the coating to be shiny or to last forever. Normal lifespan varies according to where you live and if you drive the car in the winter in the salt zones. Salt zone, daily driver summer and winter the systems should last about 4 to 5 years normally.

There is no guarantee on timeframe of delivery, but typically A-1 products are done and shipped within 3-6 weeks. Your A-1 items will ship to you separately from your other requested items, and via UPS Ground regardless of the shipping method you select at time of order.
