12 Volt LED Tail Light Upgrade, ASSEMBLED KIT, 1962-67 VW Beetle, PAIR provide a faster, brighter and MUCH safer lighting alternative to the stock style incandescent bulbs normally used with the stock 1962-67 VW lights! Most owners do not consider light SPEED as a factor, but when you have LEDs you can see how SLOW the stock bulbs are to actually light up to a visible level! Price is for a PAIR of units to do both tail lights. These are available in 2 colors; the All Red version for Red Lenses as sold in North America, or the Amber Topped version which is also known as the "Cal Look" or European Lens style.
*NOTE* An LED Compatible Flasher must be used when you convert to these units, so your turn signals flash at the proper speed.
The running light is made up of 33 LEDs that are strategically placed to fit all types of stock lenses for the era, including the popular amber topped Euro style (Cal Look)
The the turn signal area is made up of 21 LEDs, which WILL catch the attention of drivers behind you much faster than your dim stock lights! You'll have a classic appearance that is very bright when lit!
With a total of 54 LEDs per side, you will not be missed by other drivers on the road, so you can now focus on enjoying the drive in your classic or custom VW, instead of focusing on the rear view mirror worrying about being rear-ended!
These lights shine in very brilliant color. Even ugly old lenses look great when lit by LEDs. The photos shown here are all done with a solid red original lens, it has definitely seen better days. The LEDs make it look brand new in color when lit.
The lights will function just like your stock lights do, and only need one additional wire to be added, this wire is included! The wire is to ensure a good ground, which means no more random light out issues!
