ACN Flanged Racing Intake and Exhaust Nut, 8 x 10mm, EACH
ACN Flanged Racing Intake and Exhaust Nut, 8 x 10mm, EACH were designed after evaluating all problems with other nuts. We tried to solve them all with this product! 8mm threads, with a 10mm 6pt hex, and a 13mm flanged bottom to spread the clamping forces! You can torque these to 35lb/ft, though we feel that is excessive. The threads fail at just over 40lb/ft. We have tried these in several different alloys (including Stainless Steel) and success with one combination was the one we used!Once you use these you will never EVER go back to the Brass Nuts (that strip and round off), or the barely better 12mm ones out there. These are a LOT smaller than 11mm on the Head, and the flange keeps the header far enough away from the nut to allow your socket or wrench head enough room to get on and off! We use these all over because they are so useful. The obvious application is header nuts, when you have a larger than stock header. These even work on exhausts as big as 2 1/4"!!!!! The not so obvious application are to hold down your intake manifold(s)! Now you have a ton of room to use a FAST Ratchet with a long extension above the carb top! You can take a dual carb system off in under a minute after a little practice! Imagine, no more bloody knuckles after an hour of fighting your car!!!!

Weber DFEV, IDA and IDF Throttle Stop Screw Spring (Idle Speed Screw Spring) (Also DCNF, DFEV, ICT, and IDA Idle Mixture Screw Spring), 47600.007
Price: $3.95 Item eligible for Econo/1st Class Mail shipment, min ship charge applies
Weber DFEV, IDA and IDF Throttle Stop Screw Spring (Idle Speed Screw Spring) (Also DCNF, DFEV, ICT, and IDA Idle Mixture Screw Spring), 47600.007 prevents adjusting screws from moving due to engine vibration. Owners often put a new spring on when replacing their screws.
Proper idle settings are achieved by fully warming up the engine, set your ignition timing, then sync the carbs. Next adjust idle mixture, then idle speed, idle mixture, idle speed, and idle mixture. At this point you are likely not changing anything and you are done! To set idle mixture, turn the idle mixture screw to fastest idle speed. it's best to turn it in too far 1 bbl at a time (bottom it out lightly, idle speed will drop as you lose a cylinder), and as you turn it out the cylinder will come back, picking up idle speed. Set for fastest idle, + 1/2 turn out (richer). The extra 1/2 turn makes for a more STABLE idle (not a better one). Note that any time you change the idle speed, carb sync, idle jet size, or ignition timing, you must re-set the idle mixture!

These are ~2-3mm thick, and you use them without a gasket on top and bottom.
YOU'LL NEED TWO (2) OF THESE TO DO EACH CARBURETOR!

Aircooled.Net only carries ORIGINAL Weber JETS FROM ITALY, we do not carry Chinese reproductions which do not flow properly! These are all genuine Weber jets which have been flow tested at the factory. Our jetting guide down below will really help you dial in your carb!Jets are sized in "milimeters", so a "200" jet is very close to 2.0mm. Actually they are rated on flow not size, after they are measured on a flow machine. That's why drilling and reaming jets is not necessarily a good idea, since drilling or reaming can result in a 180 air flowing more than a 190 air, based on orifice length and entry/exit radius, etc.

We strongly recommend you read our extensive jetting articles prior to buying your Weber ICT or DFAV/DFEV (Progressive) main jets, so that you minimize your expense! Buy the right jets once instead of wasting money by the shotgun approach (guessing)! For ICTs you should have main jets in the 135-140 range for sea level. For progressives with an UNHEATED intake or "improperly heated, budget intake" (bad move), you should have 135 primary and 180 secondary. If it's one of OUR deluxe intakes, you will run well with 125 primary and 170 secondary main jets. For 3bbl Weber IDAs, use the formula of 4.1X Venturi Size. We offer 1/4 size increments for jets smaller than 130 to really get it perfect.

Weber 48 IDA Idle Mixture Screw, 64750.007 is the small screw at the carburetor base, it micro-adjusts the pre-mixed fuel and air from the idle jet and idle air bleed. This allows you to adjust the A/F mixture ONLY AT IDLE. These are often bent or grooved.Proper idle mixture setting is achieved by fully warming up the engine, set your ignition timing and idle speed. 7mm Low Pressure Fuel Hose, 7.0 X 2.5mm per meter
7mm Low Pressure Fuel Hose, 7.0 X 2.5mm is the best carbureted fuel hose in our opinion. This is braided for abrasion resistance, and has a cloth braid covering, that is easy to grip to put the hose on and off. The covering also looks "new" far longer.Hose clamps are not even needed, because the cloth woven on the hose surface acts like a "Chinese finger trap", and keeps the hose tight on the fitting. Some owners choose to err on the side of caution and use clamps also. Price is for a meter of hose.

Emulsion Tube Holder, TALL, All Weber IDF & IDA Carburetors, EACH, 52580.006 threads into the carburetor body, and holds the main jet, emulsion tube, and air jet in place. These often crack on the bottom near the threads, where it retains the emulsion tube. Visually you see 2 of these sticking up on the top of the carburetor, between the velocity stacks. This jet stack (holder, emulsion tube, main jet, air jet) can be removed, and the car driven around, to tune the idle jets. You will need 2 of these per carburetor.

Weber Carburetors, by Pat Braden

Weber 48 IDA Needle and Seat (Inlet Valve), 200 (2.0mm), EACH, 79504.200
Weber 48 IDA Needle and Seat (Inlet Valve), 200 (2.0mm), EACH, 79504.200 is the valve that opens and closes the flow of fuel into the carburetor float bowl. If these leak you will run rich as excess fuel overwhelms the emulsion well. Price per each.
The tab on the float rests against this valve and closes the flow of fuel when the fuel level hits a certain point. Fuel level is adjustable in height by gently bending this tab to engage the needle and seat at lower or higher points. The 200 size is great for engines up to 220hp or so. Note: We do NOT recommend the use of the Glass Needle/Seat, we have found they don't stop the flow of fuel well, and tend to dribble gas even when closed, resulting in rich conditions that cannot be tuned out via jetting! This is NOT a Glass Needle/Seat, it's the good kind!
THIS PART DOES NOT COME WITH A GASKET! THE GASKET MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY!

Jet Drill (Jet Reamer Kit), .30-2.00mm (30-200 in Jet Size), 30pc Kit is not as good as using the proper sized jet, but drilling is acceptable if you go VERY slowly, and after you arrive at your proper jet size, measure and order the proper indexed jets!

Jet Gauge Kit (Pin Gauge Kit), Small (.45 - 1.5mm)
Jet Gauge Kit (Pin Gauge Kit), Small (.45 - 1.5mm) is used to gauge what size the jets actually are, when you can't trust that they are the size that is marked! Lots of jets have been "drilled out" over the years, so unless you bought them new and put them in yourself, you really can't know if the jet is flowing according to the original markings. If the pin slips in, then it's that size or bigger! These are not a "precise" measuring tool, but they'll allow you get you very close (which is all you really need). This tool includes jet pins in these sizes: .45, .50, .55, .60, .65, .70, .75, .80, .85, 1, 1.05, 1.10, 1.15, 1.20, 1.25, 1.30, 1.40, and 1.50mm.

These won't tell you the exact size though, but they'll get you very close! For example, if you have a jet which is a size 185, it won't fit on the "200" pin, but will on the "180" pin. So knowing which pins the jet fits on, only gets you close. Understanding this, the jet gauges will definitely help. Often a jet will be stamped "180" but will fit on a 200, showing that someone has molested the jet in the past! This kit includes jet pins in these sizes; 1.50, 1.60, 1.70, 1.80,. 1.90, 2.00, 2.10, 2.20, 2.30, 2.40, 2.50, 2.60, 2.70, 2.80, 2.90, and 3.0mm. This is a great kit for use with large main jets, and most air jets.
