Jet Gauge Kit (Pin Gauge Kit), Small (.45 - 1.5mm) is used to gauge what size the jets actually are, when you can't trust that they are the size that is marked! Lots of jets have been "drilled out" over the years, so unless you bought them new and put them in yourself, you really can't know if the jet is flowing according to the original markings.
How does it work? These are not a precise measuring tool, but they'll allow you get you very close (which is all you really need). If the pin slips in, then it's that size or bigger! Start with the marked size pin and then keep inserting the next size up until you can't. The last size pin that fits, is the size your jet is.
For example, if you have a jet which is a size 52, it won't fit on the "50" pin, but will on the "55" pin. So knowing which pins the jet fits on, only gets you close. 50-54 jets will all fit on a 50 pin but not a 55. Understanding this, the jet gauges will definitely help. Often a jet will be stamped "55" but will fit on a 60 and even a 65 pin, showing that someone has molested (drilled-out) the jet in the past! The "Small" Jet Gauge kit includes jet pins in these sizes; .45, .50, .55, .60, .65, .70, .75, .80, .85, 1, 1.05, 1.10, 1.15, 1.20, 1.25, 1.30, 1.40, and 1.50mm.
