Points Dust Cover, fits most Distributors (SVDA, 009, etc). This is the plastic dust cover that is often missing in your distributor! It sits between the distributor body and cap, and has the hole JUST big enough for the rotor. This does NOT fit with points replacement devices, like Pertronix, Compufire, Accufire, Compu-tronix, Hot Spark, Crane, etc.

Distributor Points and Input Shaft Bearing Grease, 1 Jar
Distributor Points and Input Shaft Bearing Grease, 1 Jar is a great high temp grease to use on the distributor cam lobes, where the rubbing block of the points rubs against. This location is often dry, resulting in "squeaky" points operation. We sell this is small quantities like this, since you only use this in very small amounts!
This high temperature grease won't fly out onto your points like Vaseline, or other greases! STICKY to stay on the distributor shaft and centrifugal advance mechanism.
This is also EXCELLENT for the needle bearings for your transmission input shaft, it's usually inside the engine's gland nut.
The 1 jar size doesn't sound like much, but it will last you years! You only need a meager amount every time you use it. You should put some of this on the point lobe every 3k miles. This is also GREAT for input shaft and throw out bearings (inside the gland nut or flywheel), since it won't get hot and then fly out onto your clutch! Also used for generator or alternator bearings. This is a must for your garage.

Static Timing Light, Voltage Tester Pen Style
With this tool, you can use the "Old School" method of setting timing. It's great for getting "close" or setting timing at idle. Alligator Clip ends ensure good contact.
We recommend, even with vacuum advance distributors, to use a timing light to properly set the timing. Then CHECK IT with this tool! Then you will know what static timing gives you the dynamic timing your distributor works best at!

Bosch 009 and 050 Tiger Stripe Ignition Points, Bosch #1 237 013 092
Genuine Bosch 009 points have a white stripe on them (Called "Tiger Stripe" points). You can use regular late beetle points if you keep RPMs below 6K, and it costs 1/3 the 009 set! But genuine 009 points (with the white stripe) are good to 8000 RPMs. The higher spring tension on these points WILL wear out the rubbing block faster than other points due to higher spring pressure. It's also interesting that if you buy a brand new 009 distributor it doesn't come with these genuine 009 points, it has the cheap ones (01-010)! Physically they are interchangeable, but the spring tension is totally different. The 01-010s are good to ~6k RPM, the Tiger Stripes are good to 8k.
