We recommend buying the better quality Mexican unit but these Chinese made units will do in a pinch or if you are short on funds. more info

Typically this is when you want to use a 1-Pole VDO Oil Pressure Gauge along WITH the stock idiot light sending unit, since the VDO 2-pole senders have idiot light pressure too high. The VDO idiot light sender goes on at 8-10psi, the stock VW sender is set to trigger at 2.5-3psi. Low pressure like this is NORMAL for the VW at hot idle. more info
