"Pertronix" Brand 009 Distributor, Includes Flamethrower II Points Replacement Device, 12 Volt Version, D182604 is a great option for you folks who do not have a vacuum port in your carb(s), or who prefer centrifugal only rather than vacuum advance. This distributor works on 12V Electricals. This distributor is a clone of the Bosch 009 Distributor. This distributor comes WITH the Pertronix Brand Points Replacement Device! Note that you MAY have to disassemble, clean, and lube it to ensure smooth operation. But it is completely warrantied, so no worries there! The Distributor O-ring is Included with this unit.
If you are wondering, the Pertronix II module has a couple of advantages over the original Pertronix. First, the Pertronix II module changes dwell as needed, which means you can use a 3 ohm coil (like the stock blue coil), OR you can step up to a low impedance coil! If you ran a low impedance coil with the original Pertronix it would burn up in a matter of minutes! But the Pertronix II is designed for that, and has no problem! It also senses when the key is on but the engine is not running, which used to burn out the original Pertronix! The Pertronix II is immune to this sort of abuse! These features are worth the additional money over the original Pertronix module!
This distributor must be used with a NON-STOCK .6 ohm coil, such as the Pertronix Flamethrower II coils. This distributor must also be used with carbon core plug wires. If you use metal core plug wires the module will fail quickly!

Limited Manufacturer's Warranty / 30 MonthsPertronix, Inc. warrants to the original Purchaser that its products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period, as specified above, from the day of purchase (your date of shipment on Aircooled.Net Shipment Invoice which is enclosed in your shipped order). If within the period of the foregoing warranty Pertronix finds, after inspection, that the product or any component thereof is defective, Pertronix will, at it's option, repair such product or component or replace them with identical or similar parts PROVIDED that within such period Purchaser: - Promptly notifies Pertronix in writing of such defect.
- Delivers the defective product or component to Pertronix (Attn: Warranty) with proof of purchase date; and
- Has installed and used the product in a normal and proper manner consistent with Pertronix printed instructions. The foregoing limited warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The furnishing of a repair or replacement components shall constitute the sole remedy of purchaser and the sole liability of Pertronix whether on warranty, contract or for negligence, and in no event will Pertronix be liable for money damages whether direct or consequential.
