The Rhino transmission case is 40% stronger the a standard case, with extra deep webbing and reinforcement cast right in! For a while you could buy both the Magnesium Rhino Case, and the Aluminum "White Rhino" case, but the Magnesium version is NLA. The White Rhino Case is 50% heavier than the magnesium one. While Magnesium has the weight advantage, Aluminum Alloy is the definitive choice for a better yield strength under high stress applications (Racing!).

Case does not come with starter bushings, cross shaft bushing or studs.

This OEM VW Rhino Case comes setup for the "late" T/O bearing and T/O crosshaft bushings, but other than that it's a direct replacement for VW Beetle, Ghia, and Type 3 swing axle transmissions from 1961-69, and VW Bus from 1961-67.
