We rely heavily on email as the most efficient and accurate way to serve our customers. Please only contact us by PHONE if you are unable to email for some reason, or if your situation (or tech question) is complicated.

We do NOT offer "formal" phone hours, but instead RETURN ALL MESSAGES (usually within 1-2 business days) at a time when we are able to focus on your situation/questions and aren't preoccupied with the flurry of shipments that we are shipping to waiting customers in the busy part of our day. We return calls DURING THE DAY at various times throughout the week as time allows, so please be prepared to wait a few days for us to call you back. If you are phoning for status of a backorder or order in process, you may receive your reply by EMAIL.

Industrial Cooling Tins, For Heater Box Removal on 1958-74 Upright Engines, PAIR

Additional Photos

Industrial Cooling Tins, For Heater Box Removal on 1958-74 Upright Engines, PAIR are used when you use J-pipes to replace the stock heater boxes. These fill the gaps that show up when you took the heater boxes off! These are critical for proper cooling, and are used along with the lower sled tins.

These are CNC Laser cut from 20ga steel, then bent, and actually TEST FIT, and after fitment is verified they are then blasted and powder coated Satin Black.

There are 2 problems that can occur, which this item prevents!

  • Radiant heat from the #1 J-pipe heats up the thermostat, and the flaps are opened up fully, despite the engine NOT being fully warmed up.
  • Cold air from below the car preventing the thermostat from opening at all, despite the engine being 100% warmed up!
Either case is a serious problem, and both are avoided with the installation of these tins to close up the tin gaps!
