Note the combustion chamber does NOT have the "Step" in it! Combustion efficiency is far better without a step in the combustion chamber, run a deck height of .040-.070".

ACN Stocker Plus Dual Port Cylinder Heads, (L3 heads) 35 X 32mm Valves, PAIR are based on a brand new casting! These are a step up from stock cylinder heads, and are an excellent choice for enthusiasts that want more than "stock", with flow increase of 15-20% compared to a stock DP head. Aircooled.Net has sold our L3s for over a decade, and these are IMPROVED, now being based on an imported casting (which is a copy of the 044 (GO3) Casting), with larger ports than stock. Heads are equipped with 12mm x 3/4" Reach plug threads (which prevents cracks at the plug threads), Hi Chrome Valve Seats, Silicone Bronze Valve Guides, HD Valve Springs and Chromoly Keepers and Retainers, then finished with a top notch valve job. Out of the box these have ~53cc chambers in the stock 85.5mm bore. If you get a larger bore head, the chamber sizes are as follows;

88mm Bore = 60cc
90.5mm Bore = 62cc
92mm Bore = 63cc
94mm Bore = 64cc

If you would like a larger or smaller chamber, we can provide this for an additional cost to get your compression ratio perfect!

These heads are great if you choose to use stock heater boxes too, since using larger exhaust valves with stock heater boxes is a BAD IDEA!

ACN L3s flow about 130cfm on the intakes at .450" lift; a great bargain for power. Combustion Chambers are approximately 53cc, and these chambers do NOT have the "Step" present, which makes your calculations and assembly easier!

With these heads we recommend valve lifts in the .400-.450" range, more than this and you need more cylinder head, or less cam!

These heads are good for around 90hp and 115lb/ft of torque, which is great for "mild" applications, and it is achieved with true BOLT ON (rather than Master Mechanic) skills in your driveway or table top! You can use a stock carb and exhaust, or use a mild header along with dual 1bbls or even dual 2bbl carbs (DLRAs or IDFs).

Sweet heads February 26, 2013

I was reluctant to buy these heads.  I worried about how the rest of the engine- tin, exhaust, etc., would fit.  After asking John a few questions I decided to go for it.  I'm very glad I did.  Everything fits perfectly, I can tell a difference in acceleration, gas mileage, and best of all, cooler engine temps. Thanks for the help and excellent product John!
