RLR Unwelded Do-It-Yourself Full Chassis Kit, For VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3, 31-900-UNWELDED is the unwelded version of the chassis that RLR uses to build all of its legendary race cars! This kit gives the do-it-yourselfer a high quality chassis kit at a fraction of the cost of a built one! You'll need to fit and weld, and if you are good at measuring and fitting then this is the way to go!
This kit must be shipped via truck. The quoted shipping is HIGH, we do this for CC verification purposes. The shipping amount will be changed when we get the shipping quote from the trucking company. This is the fastest way to get this product to you without delays. You can generally expect the crating and shipping costs to be ~$400 West of the Rockies, and $500-550 East of the Rockies.

RLR Weld In 8 Point Roll Cage Kit, Fits VW Beetle Sedan, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3, 60-900 is THE way to make your car vastly safer! Besides the rules, it's safe (that's what's important, right?)! We have been selling these for well over 10 years, they are a fantastic upgrade! These bolt to your existing floor pan and body.
These cage kits are made from 1 5/8" tubing. It's either .134" 1010 Mild Steel, OR if you choose the Chromoly upgrade it's .083" 4130 Chromoly! Note that the Chromoly is at least as strong as the 1010 Mild Steel, but is a LOT lighter due to the thinner wall tubing.
The kits are diffferent for each model of car, so you'll choose that in the Product Options boxes.
THIS IS A WELD IN KIT! You will do final fitment modifications after you receive it, prior to welding. If you do not feel confident with a grinder and welder, find someone who IS to do the installation for you! You absolutely do not want to be learning to weld while installing something that your life may depend on!
