This is a great product for correcting steering geometry and bump-steer issues!

These ONLY fit late tie rod ends! You can use these on early cars with the smaller tie rod ends, but you'll need 2 new tie rod ends to match the newly inserted bushings.

An example of a car that has a "problem" is when the car is extremely lowered, and now the outer tie rods sit higher than the pitman arm on the steering box (inner tie rods). Using this kit, you relocate the outer arms to insert into the spindle from BELOW, rather than above, and this restores the tie rod angle that is necessary for the steering to work properly.

Caster Fix Sway Bar Bushing Kit, Stock Diameter Sway Bar, 1971-79 Superbeetle, Pair correct insufficient caster settings on Super Beetles. These bushings move the swaybar and the bottom of the strut FORWARD, for a more stable caster alignment. You can also cut and slot the top of the strut mount on the Super Beetle body to tip the strut top back, doing the same thing, but the installation of these bushings is a LOT easier than all that work!

Lastly, if you look at your bushings, they are probably the stock ones, and 40 years old! They are shot, and in need of replacement anyways, so you may as well upgrade to these to address the insufficient Caster ANYWAYS.

These are perfect for stock convertibles (with the additional weight), electric car conversions (battery bank in trunk), or even subaru engine conversions where you are putting the radiator in the front!

These fit the 2 bolt struts used on 1973 1/2 -79 Super Beetles.

This new coil-over design with small 75mm spring gives maximum wheel and tire clearance for larger 16, 17, and 18 inch wheels. Wheels must have a minimum 5 1/2 inch back spacing for best results. Supplied with adjustable ride height housings, gas shock inserts, springs, billet aluminum spring holders, red street sport springs, and closing nut. As an additional benefit, these have a significantly reduced weight of the new spring and components, which knowledgeable VW enthusiasts know results in less un-sprung weight. Less un-sprung weight means better ride, and better handling!

You do re-use your original top bearing mounts.

Your installation will require careful planning, as the kit will only work with rims with 5 1/2 to 6 inch back spacing (approximately 50 to 55mm offset). Longer wheel studs and wheel spacers will probably be necessary.
