These seal against the top of the van, keeping air and water out. Drainage is also important to prevent mold and mildew caused by stagnant moisture! These are often shot, with owners resorting to using a stick instead! Replace those shot struts before the hatch hits your significant other in the head and ruins your day!

Originally VW used a strong strut on one side, and a weak one on the other, which really makes no sense. Just use these slightly stiffer than OEM struts on both sides. We strongly recommend that you replace both struts at the same time, if you only replace one it significantly shortens the lifespan since it's having to work so hard, and ultimately costs you more money.

Original Hatch Struts were 251-829-331A for the left, and 251-829-332 for the right.

You need one of these per headlight. On the Vanagon, the Low Beam is the huge headlamp, the little ones in the center are high beam only.

Understand that you really should replace all 3 adjusters on the headlight if you are working on it, just by changing one of them, the other 2 have a really good chance of breaking!
