This will improve airflow & cooling. This Latch Extension features an adjustable angle capability in case the rear apron is tweaked. This permits a secure closure of the deck lid. It also has an insulated catch (for noise reduction) and protective pad at the base to protect your paint.

This product clamps to the rear apron, and holds the bottom of the decklid latched about 3" OPEN, secure but allowing cool air into the engine bay.CNC machined aluminum, is designed to prop open the bottom of 1958-1963 decklids. Includes allen screws to fasten to your car. Designed to keep your carb linkage, dual carbs, throttle bodies or air cleaners from contacting your decklid, but it's best purpose is improved airflow & cooling to the engine compartment. This Stand-off will prop open the bottom of your decklid by about 3". This product has "EMPI" machined into the side of it (not visible in product photo).

The kit comes complete with Dzus buttons, tabs, springs and rivets. It fits all 1958 and later VW Beetles (sorry, no Oval Windows!)
This is shipped in components, and YOU assemble it. It is complete (it even includes the rivets, but you will need to your own rivet gun). It cannot be shipped pre-assembled (it is an oversize package even broken down), and unassembled it is also much less likely to get damaged en route.
