OUR ONLINE CHECKOUT is CLOSED and we are NOT accepting any NEW orders at this time.

We are still fulfilling and shipping previously submitted and/or delayed order requests (as product availability allows) UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th 2022.

But after November 15th, all still pending backordered unshipped items will be automatically CANCELLED **(except for any special ordered drop-shipped or made/machined-to-order items).

Our ability to respond to emails is greatly hampered by being under-staffed during this downsize transition time. But we continue to endeavor to answer email inquiries as best we can. And we will continue responding to emails through until early March 2023 because we are wholly committed to resolving any other issues that may arise from previous sales. It is still UNCERTAIN, but we may re-open a substantially downsized version of our store again in the Spring of 2023.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding during this period of restructuring and/or closing. And a huge thank you to all of you whose support and loyalty we have been the beneficiary of over the 23 years that we have worked diligently to support the information and parts needs of the aircooled VW community!

Ron Lummus Racing (RLR) VW Beetle Bolt-On Street Wing Kit (Rear Spoiler)

Ron Lummus Racing (RLR) VW Beetle Bolt-On Street Wing Kit (Rear Spoiler) is the Big Brother to the Legendary Herrod Helper Rear Spoiler. All parts are CNC laser cut and bent on a CNC brake from .063" thick 5052 H32 Aluminum Sheet. **Please note that the finish on this wing is RAW ALUMINUM (not polished, nor "show quality") and may have imperfections (i.e. marks from the jig used to bend and/or scuffs and minor scratches from handling that you may decide you want to buff or polish out).

The installation of this rear wing will help your car's stability over 60mph, and actually improves aerodynamics and MPG slightly. This wing is straight across the back, and curved to match the body in the front.

These stylish wings are a BOLT-ON design with NO irreversible hole drilling! This Wing clamps onto the car on the engine vents below the rear window! These are the finest wings available for your VW, designed and made for Aircooled.Net by our buddy Ron Lummus. Ron builds and drives REAL RACECARS, so you have a real racer building this part not some 20hr/day wage slave in the Far East.

This wing only fits 1958 and newer Beetle Sedans and Super Beetle Sedans.

This is shipped in components, and YOU assemble it. It is complete (includes the screws). Start all the bolts/nuts by hand, THEN tighten them up. Because the kit ships unassembled it is much less likely to get damaged en route!

Price: $229.95
Restrictions: This item is too large to ship to some international destinations

Good quality material and Built the only suggestion it’s not to use the bolts and nuts to hold down the parts instead use rivets

5 of 5 Ron lummus racing wing March 2, 2012

Well I have to say its a great mod for any bug ,after I installed it I gained a higher speed on the freeway and it felt like I had total control at 85mph and 90mph even with strong winds I was able to achieve a better over all speed on the highway. Also noticed that the motor ran cooler even after an hour of  speeds in the 80's so I'm sold it's a must have for safety and for better fuel mileage :)
