MESA Style Oil Cooler KIT, 96 Plate, 11" X 12" X 1 1/2" are high quality Mesa style coolers which have "turbulators" inside the oil passages to keep the hot oil moving against the element for maximum heat transfer. You can add a fan for additional cooling, or place this in a location where it will get a flow of cool air. This is a cooler kit, which includes the Mesa Cooler Element, and oil filter adapter, an oil cooler adapter (replacing the stock cooler), and oil hose with fittings.
This design is over 30% more efficient than normal Tube/Fin coolers.
The multiple flow-path improves the oil flow tremendously, for reduced pressure loss through the oil cooler.
Mesa-Cool's fluxless, oven brazed construction is vibration-proof.
The thin, compact design is only 1 1/2" thick, so it is easier to install in tight spaces!
It's design is so tough, it will withstand abuse that will destroy conventional oil coolers!
This cooler uses 1/2" NPT fittings, NOT the standard "VW" 3/8 NPT.
