Bamboo Under Dash Parcel Tray (Package Tray), Standard VW Beetle Sedan (NOT Super Beetles), 113-042-071 is an inexpensive way to store all the extra stuff you need in your car, ice scraper, gloves, loose change, keys, CDs and IPOD, etc, up and out of the way! These were a very popular accessory in the 60 and 70s, and disappeared in the 80s and 90s, and now are cool again! They are great for these cars since our "Storage Space" is so limited, especially with our puny glove box that is usually full of tools to rescue us from our break downs! This is easily mounted with a few 90 degree angle brackets, making sure it's level prior to securing.

To take care of this bamboo parcel tray, every 6 months or so you should mix up 2 parts linseed oil, and 1 part mineral spirits. Warm it up, and wipe it on the bamboo. This will keep it in good shape and prevent it from drying out excessively.
