ACN Stocker Plus Dual Port Cylinder Heads, (L3 heads) 35 X 32mm Valves, PAIR are made from brand new castings! These are a nice upgrade from stock heads, with a flow increase of 15-20%. Consider these a "Super Stock" cylinder head for your car! They are an excellent choice for enthusiasts that want more than "stock", with flow increase of 15-20% compared to a stock DP head. We had had customers that dynoed engines with these heads over 130hp!
Aircooled.Net has sold our L3s for over a decade, and these are IMPROVED, now being based on an imported casting, with larger ports than stock. Heads are equipped with 14mm x 3/4" Reach plug threads (which prevents plugs stripping out, like on the 1/2" reach heads!), Hi Chrome Valve Seats, Silicone Bronze Valve Guides, HD Valve Springs, Hardened Keepers, and Chromoly Retainers, then finished with a top notch valve job. Out of the box these have ~59cc chambers in the all bore sizes, from the stock 85.5mm all the way up to 94mm
If you would like a larger or smaller chamber, we can provide this for an additional cost to get your compression ratio perfect!
These heads are great if you choose to use stock heater boxes too, since using larger exhaust valves with stock heater boxes is a BAD IDEA!
ACN L3s flow about 130cfm on the intakes at .450" lift (28" of water); a great bargain for power. Combustion Chambers are approximately 59cc, and these chambers do NOT have the "Step" present, which makes your calculations and assembly easier!
With these heads we recommend valve lifts in the .400-.450" range, more than this and you need more cylinder head, or less cam!
These heads are good for around 90hp and 115lb/ft of torque, which is great for "mild" applications, and it is achieved with true BOLT ON (rather than Master Mechanic) skills in your driveway or table top! You can use a stock carb and exhaust, or use a mild header along with dual 1bbls or even dual 2bbl carbs (DLRAs or IDFs).
