Vintage Speed 42mm (1 5/8") Stainless Steel Super Flow Muffler (Up to 190hp), Upright Engine, Hidden Tailpipe (Extremely Lowered), 1960-67 Bus, 155-207-050SF is the finest exhaust available for your slammed Split Window VW Bus, this exhaust exit is TIGHT for maximum ground clearance! This is a 1 5/8" (42mm) exhaust system, which is a HUGE upgrade from the stock 1 1/4" (32mm) system. ACN Recommends that you use dual carbs since this header is not available with pre-heat capability. This muffler uses 1.7/1.8L gaskets, so you don't need "custom" gaskets when you need to replace them. Also, the #2 primary is routed such that it interferes with the stock thermostat (which can't be retained). Valve adjustment is super easy, the valve covers remain completely accessible! This exhaust also clears both 1.5 and 3.5qt sumps, both normal and super-wide! But this unit cannot be installed if you have a thermostat.

This muffler is built from 100% #304 stainless steel -- the whole thing! Muffler, Tail Pipes (Pea Shooters), Header Pipes, even the M18x1.5mm O2 Sensor Bung is 304 Stainless! This allows you an easy headache free connection for your Wide-band, or for Closed-Loop operation of your Fuel Injection System.
