Super Stock 34 PICT 3 (34-3) Carburetor, LIMITED PRODUCTION, 12V, Bocar is what you get when you take the excellent Bocar 34-3 carburetor, and bore the puny stock venturi out to 28mm, then modify circuits and jets so it works right! Great for that SLEEPER LOOK! NOT EVERYONE WANTS DUAL CARBS! This carb is designed to remain compatible with SVDA distributors, and fits the stock air filter. Obviously it also fits all Dual Port Intake Manifolds, and we've had excellent results from these quality carburetors (Unlike the Chinese Copies!!!).Be sure to check your engine's fuel pressure and ignition system. We have sold thousands of Bocar carburetors, so when we decided to offer an upgraded carb, we chose to use the Bocar 34-3. We have had great results with these factory bench tested carburetors. These are setup for 12V electrics, and include the idle shut off valve.
We did a run of these, but due to a limited supply of the quality Bocar 34-3 carbs, we do not know how long we'll have these carburetors!
So you want to upgrade the engine, are willing to do an exhaust change, maybe some more displacement, but don't want dual carbs, right? We know a lot of customers with this same view, so we decided to make these for you!
The stock carb has a 26mm venturi. We disassemble the carburetor, and bore the venturi to 28mm for more air! 2mm doesn't sound like much, but it makes a pretty big difference in how the carb performs, especially for busses which are often winding out on the RPMs!
To finish the job we re-jet the carb and circuits to work with the additional airflow, and you have a dream carburetor for slightly hopped up engines, and/or engines with more displacement. This carburetor will NOT work well with cams with over 270 duration, (same as the stock 34-3 carb). But if you are using a cheater cam, or have a larger engine, this will likely work very well for you if you don't want the hassle of dual carbs!
These carburetors come jetted "generally", and will bolt on and run. But optimum performance and MPG will be achieved when you use a wide band and tune the carb for 16:1 A/F on cruise, and 13:1 over 1/2 throttle. Every engine is different, so strongly consider getting our micro sized idle jets to really dial it in.
