OUR ONLINE CHECKOUT is CLOSED and we are NOT accepting any NEW orders at this time.

We are still fulfilling and shipping previously submitted and/or delayed order requests (as product availability allows) UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th 2022.

But after November 15th, all still pending backordered unshipped items will be automatically CANCELLED **(except for any special ordered drop-shipped or made/machined-to-order items).

Our ability to respond to emails is greatly hampered by being under-staffed during this downsize transition time. But we continue to endeavor to answer email inquiries as best we can. And we will continue responding to emails through until early March 2023 because we are wholly committed to resolving any other issues that may arise from previous sales. It is still UNCERTAIN, but we may re-open a substantially downsized version of our store again in the Spring of 2023.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding during this period of restructuring and/or closing. And a huge thank you to all of you whose support and loyalty we have been the beneficiary of over the 23 years that we have worked diligently to support the information and parts needs of the aircooled VW community!

Seat Padding Kit, Back and Base Pad, Front Bucket Seat, 1973-74 VW THING, 43-1104
Seat Padding Kit, Back and Base Pad, Front Bucket Seat, 1973-74 VW THING, 43-1104
Price: $79.95

Seat Padding Kit, Back and Base Pad, Front Bucket Seat, 1973-74 VW THING, 43-1104 replaces that completely worn out original horsehair seat padding, OR the foam padding that was used 20 years ago! This high density molded foam padding goes between the seat frame and seat upholstery, to give great fit and comfort, with a  firm (not mushy) feel that holds it's shape for years! You may choose to re-use your existing seat foam as long as it is in good condition. We do not recommend that you use messy horsehair padding, which still requires a thin layer of foam on top) for padding. While they were "Original", we feel they are obsolete, and that foam is a superior to it. How many new cars TODAY use horsehair padding in their seats? more info
Sisel Padding (Spring Covering), 72 x 28" (6' x 28"), 43-4411
Sisel Padding (Spring Covering), 72 x 28" (6' x 28"), 43-4411
Price: $24.95

Sisel Padding (Spring Covering), 72 x 28" (6' x 28"), 43-4411 goes directly on the seat frame, immediately below the seat padding. Sisel Padding prevents the seat frame from chafing the seat padding, for an upholstery job that looks great for years! You will need ONE of these to do each front seat, and TWO of these to do a rear seat. A Full Upholstery Job will require FOUR of these for complete coverage of your seat frames. Some people doing a really nice job put a layer of burlap on the seat frame, THEN put the Sisel on top of the burlap.

We recommend you use a carpet needle and either dental floss or fishing line, and sew the Sisel Padding on, so it doesn't slip or move out of position.

Hog Ring Kit, Hog Ring Pliars and 100 Hog Rings, 43-4410-111-701 are the specially shaped pliars that crimp the hog rings, safely and easily.
