We always recommend the use of factory intakes if you can find one without clogged heat risers, but if not this is a pretty good way to go rather than scrounging to try to get one.

This solves 2 problems, the first is the linkage arrangement is smooth and bulletproof (no more cable rubbing!). This linkage works WITH the stock throttle cable (and location). Budget kits move the cable to the carb, and this is a horrible angle (wears out the carb and the cable). This intake has a 94x45mm (3.700 x 1.790") bolt pattern for the carb.

Your second advantage with this kit is the exhaust preheat goes to the carb base, the more heat the better and smoother your center mount will run! The more common "Budget" Intake kits have flow that ONLY goes along the lower main intake tube, while our kit routes this exhaust heat to the carburetor base.

If you have a center mount Weber Progressive, you can immensely help the MPG, performance, and drivability by substituting this intake for the (most likely) "economy" (IE: CHEAP) intake that came with it!

This is the best Center Mount Weber Progressive intake manifold you can buy, and works for both DFEV and DFAV models.

We STRONGLY recommend that you use an electric or "ALTERNATOR" mechanical fuel pump, the "Generator" mechanical fuel pumps are taller, and sometimes hold the intake up, causing the electric choke on the carb to contact the fan shroud. The use of an electric pump, or the shorter "Alternator" fuel pumps, prevent this issue.

This is a great kit to get when you find a cherry set of Weber IDFs or Dellorto DRLAs at the swap meet. Maybe it's just the carbs, or maybe you wound up with a Type 4 kit but you have a Type 1! No worries, this kit will get you going quickly!

This is the same kit that is shipped in our complete carburetor kits. It features ball burnished off-set manifolds that position the carburetors straight across the engine.

Off-set manifolds eliminate the body clearance problems associated with straight or non off-set manifolds. Furthermore, the CB Intake Manifolds are cast extra thick to allow porting and matching to existing big valve cylinder heads.
