ACN Heavy Duty Aluminum Pushrods, Dual Tapered, Set of 8 are the strongest Aluminum Push Rods available for Aircooled Engines. These keep your valve lash consistent at all temperatures, unlike Steel and Chromoly who's gap increases with engine temperatures. Valve lash with chromoly push rods can be "Loose Zero" when cold, but be over .020" when hot (CLACK CLACK CLACK). These prevent that. Our Dual Tapered Version is so strong it will take anything you can throw at it! Typically the Straight Ones are fine for VW size springs, but if you run Chevy Springs or BOOST, get the Dual Tapered!

Manton Dual Chromoly Push rods, Dual Tapered, 11.125" Tips Out, Cut To Length, Set of 8 have heat treated extended steel tips to assure proper seating in both lifter and rocker arm bore cups. These will not wear out, and are the strongest available! Fit both Type 1 & Type 4 engines, solid or hydraulic lifters! These must be cut to length and assembled. These push rods measure .310-inch on the ends, with a .380-inch center O.D. and a .200-inch inside diameter the length of the push rod. This design provides critical strength in the center to prevent flexing at high RPM, yet reduces weight and provides additional push rod tube clearance at the ends. These push rods are the absolute strongest you can get, if you have an engine that is turning over 10k, or run ridiculous amounts of boost, these are the ones to get!

Manton 3/8" Chromoly Push Rod, Straight, .035" Wall Thickness, 11.500" OAL, Cut To Length, SINGLE is the same as our Manton Sets, but we sell individually for those of you that damaged one, or cut it too short! These have heat treated extended steel tips to assure proper seating in both lifter and rocker arm bore cups. These will not wear out while under extreme conditions. Fit both Type 1 & Type 4 engines, solid or hydraulic lifters! This must be cut to length and assembled. The .035" Wall Thickness is light, and is fine for all VW Springs, including VW Race Duals. Chevy Springs should get the .058" Wall Thickness versions.

Stock Push Rod, Type 4 Engines with HYDRAULIC Lifters, Each, 071-109-301 was originally used on 1978-83 1/2 Type 4 Engines. These push rods are steel, the solid lifter engines had aluminum push rods. You'll need 8 of these to do one complete engine!
