Universal Fuel Filter, Metal Casing, EACH, 33031
Universal Fuel Filter, Metal Casing, EACH, 33031

Universal Fuel Filter, Metal Casing, EACH, 33031 are good for your VW. We typically use more than one, one under the fuel tank as a Pre-Filter, and one next to the transaxle. Metal cased filters do not have the fire hazard the plastic ones do! Do NOT put these in the engine compartment, the filter will heat up the fuel too much and you risk vapor lock! The best locations for a fuel filter are beneath the fuel tank (between the tank and chassis), and a 2nd one next to the transaxle (between the chassis and engine)

These filters use the same size inlet and outlet, and best fit 7mm fuel hose, but you can use a 5mm hose, it's just very tight. Note that the original carbed cars are 5mm, and most Weber and Dellorto carbs are 7mm.
