Our ability to respond to emails is greatly hampered by being under-staffed during this downsize transition time. But we continue to endeavor to answer email inquiries as best we can. And we will continue responding to emails through until early March 2023 because we are wholly committed to resolving any other issues that may arise from previous sales. Forged Type 4 Flywheel, 215mm Porsche 914 Clutch, Stock Weight (18lb), Heat Treated 12 Volt Ring Gear, 008-215FW is used to replace the Porsche 914 flywheel, which often suffers from cracks and serious heat checking that can't be machined out. LOOK AT YOUR STOCK FLYWHEEL VERY CLOSELY FOR CRACKS! This flywheel is designed to match Porsche 914 bell housing, clutch, and transmission.

NOTE: THIS FLYWHEEL WILL NOT FIT THE VW BUS, OR ENGINES INSTALLED INTO VW BEETLES! We have a different flywheel for those applications! Also, this flywheel does NOT have the (3) pressure plate pins in it that your stock flywheel has. You must transfer the stock pins to this new flywheel!

If you are building a performance type 4 engine, this is a good flywheel to use, the stock flywheels are often in rough shape, and you risk them grenading and taking out the transmission and a lot of the car's bodywork with it when they let go, especially when you have upgraded the engine to turn a higher RPM than the anemic stock engine.
