For you guys with tight spaces around the engine, we have taken some measurements for you. The rear of the muffler is approximately 12" back (square) from the #2 exhaust port. The top most part of the system is the curve in the pipe coming out of the collector, this is approximately 13" above the #2 exhaust pipe primary coming out of the cylinder head.
This header is an incredible value for those that don't have the money for a hand made A-1 Exhaust! Not as many options as the A-1 version, but look at the value!
Remember that Exhaust Tubing is measured on the OUTSIDE (Not Inside), stock is 1 1/4". A decent guideline is to run 1 3/8" for up to 90hp, 1 1/2" from 90-140hp, and 1 5/8" from 140-200hp. The Cylinder 1 and 3 J-pipes are INCLUDED with this header.
Note all primary tubes are up HIGH away from flying rocks and logs, for maximum ground clearance!
This system merges 2 exhaust pipes on each side, with no crossover, so there is no interference behind the engine. You can even install this on Type 3 engines since it clears the fan shroud!
