SCAT Bolt On Rocker Shaft Kit, 20129 eliminate the weak stock clip and weak spring washers! This kit is used on the T-1 based engine (Type 1, upright Type 2, and Type 3), it does NOT FIT the Type 4 engine. This is a MUST with HD or Dual Valve springs! This kit is used on the T-1 based engine (Type 1, upright Type 2, and Type 3), it does NOT FIT the Type 4 engine. The SCAT Rocker Shaft Kit has a floating center spacer, for less wear and easier setup! This kit does NOT come with enough shims to properly set the side clearances, you'll need a shim kit also.
This Rocker Shaft Kit is ACN's preference when bulletproofing your valve train, it's the best quality and value of all the rocker shaft kits out there.
This kit fits all rockers with a .707 ID on the rocker arm bushing, which includes stock and most aftermarket 1.1 and 1.25 rocker arms. The rocker shafts are billet 4140 chromoly steel, and is centerless ground to micro tolerances. The center spacer and end caps are 6061-T6, they are machined TRUE, they are not rounded or warped as are many other rocker shaft kit components! Lastly, the rocker shafts are Dry Oil Coated and Super Grooved for 100% Lubrication at all times.

A lot of companies that sell these will tell you the wrong specifications for setting up the side pay. It's pretty obvious they have never tried to drive a car with them installed, their side play specifications are way too sloppy! Other companies will tell you to set them up anywhere from .006" to even .010" per rocker, which will result in massive valve train clatter!

At ACN we recommend that you set the rocker arm side play up at .003" per rocker. So the center spec will change if you have a "Floating Spacer" or a "Solid Spacer". Basically, if the 2 intake rockers can move side to side together, with the center spacer being a sleeve that slips over the rocker shaft, you are setting the gap on 2 rockers at once, so you double the clearance to .006. But if the rocker shaft has a SOLID spacer, which is either tightened onto the rocker shaft, or integral into the rocker shaft, you can still set the side play to .003/rocker arm.
