OUR ONLINE CHECKOUT is CLOSED and we are NOT accepting any NEW orders at this time.

We are still fulfilling and shipping previously submitted and/or delayed order requests (as product availability allows) UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th 2022.

But after November 15th, all still pending backordered unshipped items will be automatically CANCELLED **(except for any special ordered drop-shipped or made/machined-to-order items).

Our ability to respond to emails is greatly hampered by being under-staffed during this downsize transition time. But we continue to endeavor to answer email inquiries as best we can. And we will continue responding to emails through until early March 2023 because we are wholly committed to resolving any other issues that may arise from previous sales. It is still UNCERTAIN, but we may re-open a substantially downsized version of our store again in the Spring of 2023.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding during this period of restructuring and/or closing. And a huge thank you to all of you whose support and loyalty we have been the beneficiary of over the 23 years that we have worked diligently to support the information and parts needs of the aircooled VW community!

Pedal Assembly, 1965-73 Beetle, Super Beetle, Ghia, and Type 3, 113-798-900

Pedal Assembly, 1965-73 Beetle, Super Beetle, Ghia, and Type 3, 113-798-900 also fit earlier chassis with some grinding. This includes the cable arm, Brake Pedal, Clutch Pedal and hook, and Mounting Base.

There is a bit of confusion on which pedal assembly you should use, the 65-73 version, or the 74-79 verson. The reality is EITHER will work fine, but there are some benefits and drawbacks to each.

The 65-73 version has a shorter hook for the clutch cable, in stock applications it's coupled with a "short" throw out arm on the transmission. The 74-75 version has a longer hook for the clutch cable, and was originally matched with a longer arm on the transmission. Some guys with heavier pressure plates (stiffer springs), don't like the heavy pedal pressure that comes with the stiffer springs, so they cheat. They use the longer "late" arm on the transmission for more leverage on the pressure plate, but then a short hook at the pedal. This results in a significantly lower pedal pressure, but with the drawback of the clutch going out of adjustment more frequently (clutch cable adjustment is needed more often). This drawback is worth it in our opinion, you simply have to adjust the clutch 2x as often.

If you have a bone stock pressure plate, just get the pedal assembly that matches the arm on the transmission, and worry about more important stuff!
