Quality Parts and Tech Info for Classic Aircooled Volkswagen Enthusiasts
We are in the midst of renovating our site!
Our online store will re-open on WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12th with some exciting updates and improvements to your parts shopping experience.
If you already have an order in process with us, don't panic!
We are still processing and shipping orders from our warehouse as normal even while our site is offline.
We sincerely appreciate your patience while we are doing these site upgrades.
OUR ONLINE CHECKOUT is TEMPORARILY PAUSED/CLOSED until THURSDAY MAY 26th at 12:00pm NOON (MST).
ALREADY SUBMITTED ORDER REQUESTS ARE BEING FULFILLED/SHIPPED as product availability allows
We are sorry for the inconvenience of this TEMPORARY closure of our online checkout. We are severely short-staffed, and have depleted inventory due to ongoing supply-chain backorders. So it was determined that the best option is to temporarily and periodically halt the acceptance of new orders, while we focus our resources instead during that time to catch up on the existing backlog of delayed/backordered order requests.
ORDER FULFILLMENT DELAYS: Many popular products are delayed or in short supply. Restock ETAs for backordered items are often either unavailable, or unreliable. We continue to answer emails as best we can, but we are operating with less than half of our normal staff, so please be patient. We are also undergoing some internal restructuring to adapt to the changes our business has faced these past two unusual years. Your understanding is appreciated while our company works to do what we still can to serve the aircooled VW hobby.
**If you decide to wait until our online checkout resumes accepting new orders, we recommend to copy and paste to save the items in your cart (that includes links back to the item listings), just in case your browser does not save your cart.**
Our checkout system will re-open to accept new order requests again on THURSDAY MAY 26th at 12:00pm NOON (MST)
NOTICE
Please read this notice and only continue if you are willing to abide by our updated backorder acquisition and fulfillment terms of service.
Supply-chain disruptions have hampered our ability to acquire/restock items reliably. Additionally, a lack of backorder ETA information is a frustrating "new normal" for our hobby. As a result, we have had to change our BACKORDER ACQUISITION TERMS OF SERVICE. If you opt to have us "send backorders later", backordered items will ship automatically if we are able to get them within 30 days. Longer than 30 day backorders WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED. Made-to-order, Special-Order, and Direct-shipped items may take longer than 30 days, and will NOT be auto-canceled.
On the next page, you will be prompted to select a BACKORDER HANDLING INSTRUCTION for your Order Request. In every case, you are NOT CHARGED for out-of-stock items (we ONLY charge for items that are available to be shipped in a timely or reasonably reliable timeframe). If you opt to "send backorders later" you are automatically added to the waitlist for those items, and we post stock status / backorder info to your Order Status/Progress/History Detail View in your online Customer Account. You can email to cancel un-shipped/un-paid items at any time as long as they are not direct-shipped, special order or made/machined-to-order.
Currently many shipments are delayed and our response time to emails are slow (we are severely short-staffed). Please trust that even if we can't reply to your email promptly, we are continuing to work to fulfill your Order Request as best we can, and we will contact you once we have any new information that is not already posted in your online Order Progress/History area in your customer account.
Please only continue if you are prepared to be PATIENT. Some of the items in your cart might be out-of-stock, and if that is the case, within a day or two we will post itemized stock status information to your account and/or email you to let you know. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.

I had a gland nut to remove that could only be removed this way because the slot in the gland nut was elongated. Make certain to place the tool in the filler neck so that the cam of the tool is at the depth of the gland nut. Not deeper not shallower. I hand tightened it and put a rachet on it, and out it came. Since the threads were gummed up on the nut this tool provided the needed bite until the last half rotation and I could turn it by hand. I couldnt imagine using the budget version for all those turns. OUT in less than a minute!
