OUR ONLINE CHECKOUT is CLOSED and we are NOT accepting any NEW orders at this time.

We are still fulfilling and shipping previously submitted and/or delayed order requests (as product availability allows) UNTIL NOVEMBER 15th 2022.

But after November 15th, all still pending backordered unshipped items will be automatically CANCELLED **(except for any special ordered drop-shipped or made/machined-to-order items).

Our ability to respond to emails is greatly hampered by being under-staffed during this downsize transition time. But we continue to endeavor to answer email inquiries as best we can. And we will continue responding to emails through until early March 2023 because we are wholly committed to resolving any other issues that may arise from previous sales. It is still UNCERTAIN, but we may re-open a substantially downsized version of our store again in the Spring of 2023.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding during this period of restructuring and/or closing. And a huge thank you to all of you whose support and loyalty we have been the beneficiary of over the 23 years that we have worked diligently to support the information and parts needs of the aircooled VW community!

Mechanical Fuel Pump, Upright Engine w/Alternator, 113-127-025G
Mechanical Fuel Pump, Upright Engine w/Alternator, 113-127-025G

Mechanical Fuel Pump, Upright Engine w/Alternator, 113-127-025G is used on volkswagen upright engines when equipped with an alternator (1973 1/2-1974). But you can use this on any year upright engine if you use the shorter Push Rod.

This pump is shorter, and uses a shorter pump push rod, which gives you clearance to R&R the pump with the larger diameter alternator sitting above it. If you assemble an alternator equipped engine with a generator style pump, you'll find you cannot get the pump off with the alternator in the way (that's the price of education!). The solution is to put an "Alternator Pump" and push rod on to prevent this headache.

This pump uses a C Clip on the pivot pin to prevent it from falling out!

You should also know that Volkswagen fuel pumps are self regulated for pressure, but you have to know how to do it! This is accomplished by putting the pump further away from the pushrod, lessening the pump stroke. You do this by stacking pump gaskets between the pump and spacer.

We have seen the stock pump output pressure exceed 12psi, often due to aftermarket pump spacers being too short. Either stack a ton of gaskets, or use a properly built spacer.

It is also important to note that if you put a Generator pump with an Alternator Push Rod, or an Alternator Pump with a Generator Push Rod, you will have problems! Make sure you are using apples with apples!
