With this Capacitive Discharge (CD) system, you will have a stable, uniform spark throughout your engine's rpm range, with no high rpm drop-off like other boxes, or with a standard Kettering Ignition (Points and Condenser, or Points Replacement Device charging the coil with 12 Volts.

These Extruded Aluminum Cherry Red Anodized CDI Box is super lightweight, and gives maximum heat transfer via the finned housing.

This is the basic box, with no programmable rev limiters or 2-step devices, but the spark is identical to Mallory's other 3 CDI boxes, which have things like Adjustable Rev Limits, RPM Switches, etc etc. But the spark on all 4 Hyfire's is the SAME, the differences are all the gadgets. If you just want a big reliable spark, this box will do that without the extra cost of the other features.

This is compatible with most electronic and magnetic trigger systems.

You must have good quality plug wires, the high energy spark will push them to the limit! We have one customer that went from 2000PPM of HCs to almost 0 after installing one of these on his car. We do not promise that you'll experience similar results, but the hot spark will fire off almost anything! Obviously that guy had a very weak ignition system before installing the Hyfire-6!

During installation, we recommend you install a 20A fuse between the battery and the Hyfire unit, and wire the Hyfire Ground directly to the battery for best results.
